fireworks!

where is the best place to watch the fireworks on the 4th. from the beach or go downtown, i heard both were good

Hi, I've been in PCB every 4th of July weekend for last few years. It's a great place to see fireworks. I think the largest display wil be at the city pier but I don't go down there because of the crowds. Actually, there will be people shooting off fireworks all down the beach and, the way the beach curves in towards PCB, you can see them all down the beach. To me, this is the best part of seeing fireworks there, ie, the wide asst of individuals doing them. Small fireworks up close are just as impressive as large fireworks way off and a thousand people shooting off small fireworks is just as cool as one person shooting off a professional display. This is what I think of when I think fireworks in Panama City... tons and tons of individuals shooting them off.. all down the beach... all within view. I usually go watch them behind Schooners. For last couple years anyway, there's some people in nearby house that get some pretty good ones... wherever you watch them from, just make sure it's at the beach and you're sure to have a fun time.
