lobster fest $85.00

this is getting out of hand anyone agree maybee someone else should host this event. without us divers there would be no lobster fest.

I completely agree with you regarding the divers, we could not do it without you we truly appreciate all of your support and hard work! The Divers are a key part of the Festival in raising money for local charities. In fact, some of the divers have even help sponsor the event too!

The entry fee of $85.00 is the same as last year.
The fee includes one t-shirt, one meal ticket, one raffle ticket, door prizes donated by the local dive shops, plus other giveaways.
The prize money is as follows
A. SPINY LOBSTER (1ST $1000, 2ND $600, 3RD $400)
B. SIX LARGEST (1ST $500, 2ND $400 3RD $300) IT CANNOT BE PLACED IN ANOTHER CATEGORY
C. SHOVELNOSE ( 1ST $300, 2ND $200, 3RD $100)
D. LOBSTER POT SAT & SUN. ($100 THREE TIMES PER DAY/PER DRAWING
BONUS PRIZE OF $300 TO BE AWARDED FOR THE LARGEST SPINY LOBSTER, $200 LARGEST BIG SIX, $100 LARGEST SHOVELNOSE, IF ENTERED BY 6PM, SEPT 17, 2005.

We are sorry that you feel that the tournament fee is too high. We have always tried very hard along with the local dive shops and local sponsors to take care of the Divers. The fee is necessary to cover some of the many expenses it takes to facilitate the event. Advertising, tents, entertainment, prize money, t-shirts etc... etc....
Our main goal is raising money for the local charities and to have a
successful tournament.

please keep in mind,if you win you never pay an entry fee ever again,your exempt for life,do you know ANY local fishing or spearfishing tourneys that offer that?

Diver: I'll front you the $85.00 entry fee in exchange for 50% of any winnings you take in.
