I, personally, come to this website to see how things are in the place I hope to call home someday. I don't come here to gamble or shop. I highly doubt I'm the only one who feels this way.

I'll see one that has posting by a spammer. It won't show replies, but it does show views. Everybody should stop viewing these and maybe they will go away. I know sometimes it can't be avoided because they also post on existing topics.

Schooners is a really cool place with great food and it has a fantastic web site. People should be more respectful and considerate. :)

Thanks for starting this. I think Francesca usually removes all of this garbage, but she's also busy with other things and can't look at the board all the time. When she recognizes it, she'll remove it like she has the others. Never fear, Francesca is here.

Actually, we have relied on our trusty tripsmarter team to remove the SPAM. I am now able to remove it, so between us all, hopefully it won't seem as bad.

Most of the spam is automated through a computer searching for bulletin boards like this to spam. There's probably only a small percent that are actually posted by real people.

As a result in the recent surge in spam, we've had to make users register before they can post. It won't prevent all spam, but it should cut it down significantly. We know it was easier to post when you didn't have to register... and we left it like that as long as we could... but the spammers are relentless in their tactics and we are having to adjust to keep the boards free of spam for you guys. I hope it's only a minor inconvenience for everyone. (besides, there are advantages to registering, too... like email notifications when someone replies to your post, send private messages, etc)
