What a complete disaster to rent from them! They are liars and rent out rooms that claim to be new and are broke and nothing works! NEVER AGAIN is all I can say. Nasty nasty people.

Word to the wise...always rent from the owners of condos as the booking agents have no idea the shape of the units.
I have clean Gulf-front efficiency units at great prices. I am booked until 29 July, but have some openings in August. You can contact me at pccondos@comcast.net
Here is my website:

Will do. I always had great luck with resideo.com. I also almost rented from VRBO instead of Joni's but couldn't resist that "only 150.00" deposit instead of the first night plus deposit or a high deposit, but, now I see, you get what you pay for, although we paid a lot for the actual stay, we only had to pay 150 down, and that looked good when making the reservations. NOW I KNOW BETTER!!! Great advice tho thanks!

Thanks Pam. We were thinking of coming back but school starts so early this year in GA that we will probably not be returning until June 06.
I will definatly save this link though! Thanks.
I am still down and out with jonis. They told me they would give me my deposit back and it would be mailed out on the 5th or 6th of june. So, Monday of this week I called them, and Joni herself answered. I asked her and she said she was putting them in the mail that night. Thursday, still no sign of my money. I called and someone name Jenny answered and I asked her and she said she had just put them in the mail. I said "are you sure?" and she huffed and said "yeah" and I said "well I ask because I've already been told twice that they went out.. She says "well, we ran out of stamps" LOL. What kind of business can't pick up stamps when they mail them out? Lame.

You're on the trip advisor forum, aren't you? I just read your post there. For awhile I thought "boysofsummer" on that forum was you because she had a similar experience as you! At any rate, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, but glad you shared. We were thinking of going through them for a more long-term thing if we ever get to move there. After reading these posts, I won't be contacting them. Thanks!
Pam O.- your places look nice. What do you want for the Seychelles condo for Oct 28-Nov 4?

I have been renting thru Joni and her people for nearly six years, twice a year...I have had no problems what-so-ever. Sorry to hear there are people that have bad situations with them. Remember, you don't always get the whole story on these sites. If you have had problems, call Joni and discuss them with her. She needs to know about this stuff. No matter how you get a place, get one and enjoy your stay...

I'm also on VRBO. #38076.
I always look on this site now when I vacation in all parts of the country or similar sites.

I have called Joni. I even have emails from her. She is the one who LIED about the pool being open. She is also the one who DIDN'T tell me the glass door in our room has problems and would not open leaving us NO ACCESS TO OUR BALCONY. The maintenece man told us it was a preexisting problem that he had attempted to correct with 3 different tenants BEFORE us. Don't you think if the glass door is locking up so you can't open it, that should of been mentioned before we checked in? What if my child or elderly mother would of locked out there on that balcony?
JUST PLAIN SAD NOT TO TELL US THAT! Now, I have 4 different stories from Joni and her co workers about my deposit. The last one being Joni would of mailed it but they ran out of stamps, but it was in the Mail as of Thursday of last week, yet, today, Tuesday, still no sign of my money!
You may be happy with your stay and I am super glad for you however, I can't help but wonder about someone who says "No matter how you get a place, get one and enjoy your stay..." How old are you? I am 37, my mother is 68 and my child is 8. I think we deserved better than this, but, if you like Maintenence in your condo everyday and no beachside pool, after it is advertised that there is one, then I guess you are a lot different from me.
have a good day.

ps. We arrived at Joni's @ 9 am and they wouldn't let us check in until right at 3 pm. Don't you think that was plenty of time to have someone scheduled to fix that door? The covers in the room were nasty, and the walls were nasty. They weren't spending too much time cleaning it, so I would think they could of at least fixed the door to the balcony!

You go, Girl! Have you read her reply to the guy on Trip Advisor yet? Pretty cold.
Bearabull, which condo resort is it in? I'll take a look at it. Thanks!

It is in the Sunbird. It doesn't have a lot of ammenities as the newer ones, but I love it. The view is great. We have 3 pools, though I prefer the beach and have never been in the pools.

I'm interested, which condo was it that you had the issues with....not the actual unit however, but the property? Sorry to hear about the trouble you went thru.

Well, it wasn't the actual condo's fault of what happened to us. We didn't rent from resortquest. We stayed at the celedon. I have an email from Joni's beach rentals, the people we rented our room from, promising me the pool will be open on those dates or she will let me know so we can change our reservations to another condo. The problem with a closed pool is my mother is just had breast surgery went and isn't allowed to get into the salt water or sand, but can sit at the pool and use the jacuzzi. Then, we can see up if we need to go up to help her etc. DIDN'T HAPPEN. It closed the 3rd day there. Felt like the 2nd day since we weren't allowed to check in until right at 3. Then, we get a maintenence man that knocks on our door to fix the door that e didn't even know was broke. He said we called him, but, we had no idea anything is wrong with the pool so we say no and he says "this has happened to me 3 times now" meaning 3 other tenants before us won't let him in. Then that evening the door to the balcony won't open up at all, so I call Joni's and ask her did they send him and they say yes, and I say well he didn't say you sent him, and we didn't know the door was broken, so they send someone over in which we have to wait for 3 hours for that just takes the lock off because he can't fix it. Then he tells us this is a pre existing problem. My problem is why wasn't we told or wasn't it fixed before we checked in. When the right guy came in to fix it finally it only took him 30 minutes. They had all day on our check in day from 10 to 3 30 to fix it, but instead they hid it from us just like the pool.
I don't know about you, but, when I go to the beach I have always had a balcony. When you are reading reviews of a condo with 4 stars you just don't expect these problems when you make your reservations. That leads me to believe its not the celedon but the people we rented from, you know?
