It was cold. Is the food not prepared fresh that time of day? It obviously wasn't because it was cold. The shrimp were okay but not great, but everyone had cold french fries, potatoes, and the hushpuppies were awful.
Is that a bad time of day to eat there?

I have eaten at Schooners every time we come down for the last 7 years at all times of the day and night and the food has always been great. I'm really surprised you had a bad experience.

Yes, I am surprised too. We've at there every year for the past 5 years and its always been hot and good. Anyway, maybe just a bad day, I dunno. Actually my mother had the oysters and said they were good, and my son ate all of his steak, and the shrimp were okay, but the side orders were all ice cold. It kinda put a damper on everything else. Next year we will go at night like normally do. Anyway, thanks for letting me share my opinion.

I know that I have contacted you regarding this on another forum, but just want to apologize once again. Not sure why the sides would have been cold. The time of day should not determine the temperature of your food. We aim to serve hot fresh food all day long! The mistake was ours.

I know that sometimes it may feel uncomfortable, but if you have ever have a problem in any restaurant, please let your server know. If you don't feel that your server is being responsive, then ask to speak to the manager on duty. We want to fix the problem for you as soon as possible.

Schooners was the first place we ate when we started going to PCB in 1993 and we having been going every since. The food is great! Bummer you had a bad experience.
