Lobsterfest 2008

We have never been to Lobsterfest before, or PCB for that matter. We will be there for the week leading up to Lobsterfest and heard so much about it. What is the best time to get there and what are some other things fun to do for newbies? Thanks!

Lobster Fest is not only fun, it's educational! If you don't know much about spiny lobsters or shovel nose lobsters, then you will have great fun watching the divers bring them in off their boats to the weigh in tents. You can then hold the lobsters and learn all about them on Saturday and Sunday. The feast is on Sunday, lobster cooked many differerent ways and served buffet style down on the beach. Entertainment is Friday through Sunday and we have a big auction Sunday evening, where you can actually bid for the winning lobsters that have been donated by the divers to help raise money for the charities involved. Best thing to to is bring your beach towels/chairs and camp out all day Saturday and Sunday. Watch the sand sculpting contest, grab something good to eat have a few cold ones and relax on the beach. Then get ready for great late night entertainment.

When & where is Lobsterfest? Also, is Schooners having the Easter Egg Hunt this year? If so, what time? We'll be down 3/15-3/23...staying at Seychelles. Can't wait! Kim

Lobster Fest is always the 3rd weekend in September at Schooners (weather permitting!).
