I HAVE A QUESTION
IS ANYONE AS FRUSTRATED AS I AM ABOUT ALL THOSE NEW CONDOS BLOCKING THE VIEWS AS YOU ONCE COULD SEE THE BEACH FROM THE STRIP?
I KINDA MISS ALL THE LITTLE SMALL HOTELS AND PLACES. IT USED TO BE A MORE RELAXED TIME BACK THEN AND MORE SCENIC.
BUT I GUESS TIME CHANGES THINGS!
JUST WONDERING HOW OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN COMING THERE FOR YEARS FEEL.

I for one do not like the new changes. We have been coming since 1976. IIts all about money thats why so much change

thanks for the feedback .I have been coming there for the last 20 years. I loved staying at the mom and pop style hotels and inns. The ones on surf drive and gulf drive are hanging in there. but i wonder how long they will hang in there. I used to love the area of the strip where peeks motel and bikini beach motel were. remember when you could walk out the door at alvins magic mountain and see the beach? I know people like money but why don't they put a limit on blocking the beach views. The city councel there won't let a business put up a tall sign to advertsie loks like they would do something about conods blocking the views of the ocean.
I guess thats why I like going to Schooners when in town due to it hasn't changed much. Saltys sold out and moved to the other side of the road due to a condo buy out... so schooners keeps my business. PLEASE SCHOONERS owners don't ever move!
I like cruising down to mexico beach cause it more laid back and they so far are keeping out the condos.
