Calling all Lob Fest fans and others!!!!

There are at least 4 of us planning on coming down for Lobster Fest in Sept(Linda, Sharon, Ro etc). Our dates are Sept 14-21.

Who else is going to be there??? We would love to schedule a night or more where we can get as many of us together at Schooners as possible(hopefully with t-shirts :evil: ).

Who's up for the challenge and what night(s)?????? Some one needs to brings a digital camera so we can post the out come of this :lol:

Sounds like everyone should have a lot of fun at the Lobster-Fest. PLEASE be sure to take that digital camera and post a group picture. I would love to see a picture of what my "virtual Schooner friends" look like in "real life".

A local can probably answer this better than me, but I believe most if not all the lobster is caught locally. They have a contest & prize for the heaviest & biggest lobster caught that weekend, hence Lobsterfest. I think Spiny lobster & Bottlenose? lobster are a couple of the types of lobster in that region.
I'm making myself hungry thinking about it!

You do know I take sleeping pills when I'm on vacation so I can change my sleep pattern. Up all night and sleeping all day at the beach just doesn't work. Give me a pill and I'm out in 15 mins(good info to have when I get on your nerves :lol: )

I am thinking about trying to get like a LONG weekend, so which would be the weekend to go for? Friday the 18th??

Thinking about having my BFF from California (hey Linda, thinking about coming out? Could pick you up at an airport when I am picking my friend up :lol: ) fly into an airport, could be Louisville, could be Montgomery, AL, or PCB?? Trying to figure out what might be the best thing to do. Any suggestions?????? I will be driving down to PCB from Louisiville, will want my friend from California to fly into ..........somewhere and pick her up. She would be flying out of Ontario, California. Anybody got any ideas??????????????

Would love to hear from the "fam" to see what ya all think would be the best thing to do. Let me know.

Lob fest is from 9/18-9/20 and Ro has informed me the best day to be there is on Sunday and to be there all day.

Hey do you know how to drive a boat??? We want to rent a pontoon boat and head over to Shell Island for a day but what we haven't figured out yet is who the heck will be our driver.

The 3 of us are getting very excited and starting to make some plans on what we want to do while there. This is so crazy for me to make plans with 2 girls I have never met. I am hoping to meet up with Ro sometime in the next few weeks. I already feel like I've known both of them forever.

just looked at bay county pcb airport and they service 5 air carriers, the main 2 are Delta and Northwest Airlines. most people in atl. drive over to Birmingham Ala. to get the cheapest deals. flights out of atlanta to pcb on Delta aren't cheap. good luck on your plans for lobsterfest. hope to see ya there. 8)

You guys are just KILLIN' me!!!! All of these great plans and I'm stuck out here in the "Land of Earthquakes". Sure do wish I could just hop a plane....or stick out my thumb and hitch a ride, which is more my speed financially these days. LOL Remember when it was SAFE to hitchhike? I hitchhiked all over Tallahassee when I went to school there....didn't have a car...only a bike with a banana seat and chopper-type handle bars (don't you guys go laughing at me...it was WAY "in" back then). Anyway, I guess I will just have to live vicariously through you alls posts. Maybe we can coordinate a time when everyone will be at Schooners and you can raise a "cold one" to the Web cam so I can see you.

Sunday(Sept 20) is the day to be at Schooners for Lob Fest. Lots of people watching not to mention the sand sculptures, the lob's coming in and weigh ins, the food and the auction.

Does anyone out there have a price yet on the tickets for the big day????? Trust me the price is worth it. You get the day of entertainment, the lobster buffet, the give aways plus the money goes to a great cause.(Toni - can I get a job :lol: ).

Well all is still a go for me to come down for long weekend for lobster fest not sure who if anyone is coming with me i have wanted to come the last couple of years but was not possible now i can head on down for a great long weekend someone may have to prop me up in a mound of sand lol or duck tape my *** to bar stool
