View Full Version : Lobster! Lobster! Lobster!
How GREAT is it that we ARE HAVING THE LOBSTER FESTIVAL & TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR??????!!!!!!!!!!
I was worried - I won't lie.
But, it is on, and it is going to be HUGE!
We need to make some noise for our divers who will be doing some serious underwater exploration and coming back (fingers crossed) with proof that the Lobster survived the gusher, and we will recover and get back to where we have always been - or better.
OK... enough sentiment... time to have a glass of wine and celebrate!
Mark it on your calendar - third week of September- Panama City Beach - at SCHOONERS

Just curious Toni, have you heard when NOAA is opening the Federal Waters for fishing? I know they opened some Federal waters in Lousianna but kept it closed for crabbing or shrimping.

That's awesome, Toni! I'm hoping to be able to make it again this year.

I don't have my room yet but I bought my plane ticket a month ago so I can attend. Will try to talk some friends into joining me.

Does anyone know how much it costs for the lobster during Lobsterfest and do you only get to eat it on Sunday? Does everything take place (food, drink, sand sculptures, etc.) at Schooners or along the beach? I thought I read that the last day is the only day that you get to have lobster. I've never been in PCB for Lobsterfest but I'd love to come out that weekend! Any info would be appreciated!

Well, I took this video last year on Saturday and they were making that big Lobster sandwich even though the main feast was on Sunday. They also had lobster dishes on the menu because this video also has a brief sassy cameo by the lovely LStyle, and I remember her saying that she was eating lobster bisque.

If you plan on having lobster on Sunday, you may want to make sure you get a good breakfast before hand because the lobster line was huge!

Yes indeed...I had lobster bisque. I was also recovering from a gnarly stomach virus, so I couldn't enjoy it. They serve lobster specials all weekend long...just like they do the cajun dishes at Cajunfest. I'm trying to talk the hubby into going down, but he's wanting to do Helen, Ga. (Blech) that weekend. Craptastic. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just paid the 10 bucks and dined on the giant Lobster sub. That thing looked amazing.
