We are coming over for our first visit in early May of 2005! Are there any events taking place during that time?
Also, I have heard that beer and alcohol are prohibited from all beaches!! Is that true?!?!

beer and alchohol is only prohibited at st. andrews state park
no glass on the beaches and PLEASE, clean up after yourself. it looks horrible when people leave their trash and beer cans all over the beach.
Nothin better than a cooler of beer... the sunset and the waves... but i gotta agree... how friggin hard is it to pick up your garbage

Depends on how early in May you're going. The spring Thunder Beach is usually the first weekend in May. Great bunch of people but it gets a little noisy!
