What is PCB like this year?

I've been reading through the posts and everyone was talking about the construction (in 2005). I called a MOTEL the other day and the woman talked about construction.

Is there still a lot on Front Beach Road? How is the beach itself?

Thanks for any info you can give. We're considering a vacation down there this summer. We haven't been in a long time.

I agree with the many posts about the hotels/motels being torn down and being replaced by condos. I prefer the motels myself.

the beaches look great, but there is still alot of construction going on and more than likely it will last all thru summer and the rest of the year, and new condos still starting up

Thanks for the reply. Is it hard to get around because of the construction, etc? Can you tell me what time of the year the seaweed comes in?

the beach is beautiful but the construction is non stop. Traffic will be interesting this year. As for the seaweed, it depends on the weather too. There have been years when it was minimal and then there was last year!So just check out the webcam here and maybe that will help. you can also e mail me and I will send you some photos that day if you like. ipi4u@yahoo.com

I don't know how bad the seaweed was there in PCB but we were in Pensacola June 5th and it was over a foot deep. It was almost as deep in Fort Walton. I've never seen it so bad. I figured it may have had something to do with the hurricanes.
