Default I just have to celebrate!

My son called me on my way to work this morning. He got the job of his dreams! He's graduating from Purdue as a pilot on the 11th and getting married on the 26th. Today he got the call from a large regional carrier and starts in June. (Actually, they wanted him to start Monday, but were very understanding about the wedding and his need to be present. ) The funny thing is, he applied and interviewed for one of the smaller carriers this one owns. He never thought he'd have a chance starting any higher than the bottom rung, like everyone else.

I'm just so happy for him I can hardly contain myself and had to share this news with someone, so there it is!

He's a very good boy. Other than normal teenage angst, we've never had a bit of trouble with him. He's always been the most mature and responsible of all our kids. (Of course, he's the oldest, too.) I love all of my children, but he deserves this good fortune the most of any of them. Makes a Mama's heart happy.

That's great news! Congratulations! I know that you must be so proud of him. What a great opportunity for him, I am sure that he has worked very hard for it!

May all his departures and landings be equal in number.

If its illegal to drink and drive, why do bars have parking lots?

Kudo's to the parents for expending so much time, energy and love to get their son where he is today. I know he did a lot of the "leg" work but without that strong upbringing and character building he wouldn't be were he is today.

Maybe he can speed up progress on the new PCB airport or buzz a tower or two.

    Anyway, congratulations to all!

Just tell him to always remember that take offs are optional, landings are manditory.
I have a bunch of sayings that I was told during flight training that I'm sure he's already heard. Kinda like that its impossible to break the record for low flying.
