Missing PCB

Here I sit, on a Sunday afternoon, watching the Talladega race, and the Schooners web cams. I don't know which place I would rather be.
Three weeks ago, we were at Schooners, looking at the beach, and listening to the band.
I think that week went by in about two days....at least it seemed that way.
We had a wonderful time, except for all the love bugs. I have been coming to PCB for 30 years, and I have never seen anything like that. They were everywhere! My first stop in the city, was the first carwash I came to. Man....did I feel sorry for all the folks that rode in on motorcycles!
I really love the webcams at Schooners and the Boatyard. I usually keep my computer at work on a split screen, one being the Lagoon cam, and the other being the beach cam. Then, I have a Daytona website, that has a live beach cam with sound of the waves breaking. I see the Schooners cam and the Boatyard lagoon cam, and hear the sound of the waves breaking. Hey....it's not like being there, but it's the next best thing. You gotta love the internet!!

The love bugs were something else, weren't they? I've been told it's a September thing. Hardly any now. Had dragon flies pretty thick here, too. Of course, I'm quite a bit west of PCB, but I think we experience a lot of the same things.

Hey DougJ: Could you post the link to that site you mentioned? The one with the "wave sounds"?

Thanks LauraB. I'm usually pretty good at "google-ing" things, but for some reason I couldn't find really good surf sounds. Now I've got it all! (Except for actually feeling the sand be-twixed my toes! Don't know if I'll last till next June, but it looks like I'm stuck in Tennessee till then

) Thank goodness for the Schooner cams, don't know how we'd make it without them!

I feel your pain, stuck 70 miles southwest of you till June. the chateumotel.com site has a really nice cam as well...
