This is a good friend of mine that use to live here on the beach. Ran a charter boat for years before moving up to running bigger vessels in the oil fields of Lousyanna. He tried last year to get me up in one of these things but I refused. I think he needs to stay on the water and out of the sky. .

I've been a pilot for years but I'm afraid of heights. In other words, I can't lean over a balcony and look down, but looking out the window of the plane is OK. Weird huh? Had a friend once tried to get me to go skydiving with him. Told him, why would I want to jump out of a perfectly good plane?

Sounds like my husband. He loves to fly, but when we went to the top of the Empire State Building, I thought he was going to pass out. I'm deathly afraid of flying, but heights don't bother me. However, both of us agree on the skydiving thing...no way! We have a friend who loves skydiving & actually did it in the nude once. However, he said he won't do that again 'cause he didn't count on the effect it had on certain male anatomy parts on the way down!
If it doesn't involve the beach, it isn't a real vacation.
I don't like to fly anymore, and high places scare the crap out of me.
I was quite the daredevil as a kid, and I flew my whole life, until about 15 years ago. Not sure what happened, but I don't like heights at all, anymore.
Old age has a way of changing your thought process...I guess.
