    Default Ready for winter

Got my load of firewood in and stacked in the shed. I'm ready now for old man winter. Might starve but at least I'll be warm. Had to have a fire last night just because. Wasn't but 65 degrees but what the heck, had to see if the wood would burn.

65 and a fire. If it was 65 here I would have shorts on Now if you talk to Coach it is in the 23 up there and they have 5" of snow on the ground. I guess it is what you are used to. Any way you size it up, winter is here to stay guys and Sweet2 is not liking it.

I hear ya Capt....about the I might starve, but I'm gonna be warm.
I have had my firewood for just over 30 days, and have yet to have a fire. Seems like it only gets cold during the week, and I only build fires on the weekend. Can't stay that way forever though.
    And hey.....
You would never starve. You just need to resort back to fishing!
You have everything in the form of seafood at your fingertips.

Guess I could thaw out some of the red snapper in the freezer. Actually the fireplace doesn't heat that well but it does get the wife in the mood. Hmm, I guess it does heat things up.

Same here my friend. The fireplace gets toasty after about two hours, but it earns me "brownie" points
Incidentially, she is moving back permanently, in my house, the week before Christmas Haven't seen her since August.

It's 41 right now. I'm about ready for winter, but it needs to snow this year. That red snapper sounds good.
I've always wanted a seafood Christmas dinner. Lobster, crab legs, shrimp and fish. Wouldn't all that look good on a table next to a Christmas tree and fire?

I've seen recipes for a "Feast of Seven Fishes" served at Christmas. I think it might be an Italian tradition. I'm basically Irish, so don't quote me on that! Sounds good, though!
If it doesn't involve the beach, it isn't a real vacation.

All I'm thinking about is June/July of next summer. This gives me 8 months to get in great shape and think of some new things to do. We might rent jet skis to go out to shell island. We've always taken the boat out there before.

Went to Reelfoot Lake this weekend in NW Tennessee to see the leaves changing colors. For those who haven't heard of Reelfoot, it was formed in the 1800s by the last big earthquake on the New Madrid fault. The Mississippi actually flowed backwards for a few days, forming this big, beautiful lake.
