Schoners Opening but when & how much fun?

Okay I know I am new to the forum but when we found our condo the property manager told us to go to schooners.com & how nice it was. Well I just left Schooners. No I didn't go inside but was sitting outback looking at the beautiful skys & when I left I said "Excuse Me" & the nice man said 'WHAT NOW!" I had been sitting there for 30 - 40 min and did not see anyone else asking questions so I didn't understand why he was supset to answer. I told him I was sorry to bother him but noticed the sign out front for the opening day had changed & no day was listed & wanted to know when the would be opening. He said they are not sure the owners are thinking of Feb the 20. I did tell him they might want to update us here on the website. I know a lot are looking at coming for the reopening but as for me I am not sure now. If the new crew thinks its a bother to answer a question of a guest then maybe I should be going somewhere else or is this just how it is here? When we went in Nov. everyone was sooooo nice I just don't understand!

Hey tntsweet...sorry to hear he was rude to you...I know when I went everyone was so sweet! My waitress was the best! So not everyone is like that. Maybe he had a bad day or something...but that's no reason to take it out on you!

tnt, sorry to hear about that. Like Kim said, maybe the guy had been having a bad day. Unfortunate that he snapped at you like that though, not good for business at all. Let's talk soon, o.k.? I'm FINALLY ready to drink again After Saturday night and Sunday afternoon and night I needed a break ! Breaks about over though and we have a new blender to break in !!!!!

Chef J I know we all have our time & I guess I was having mine tooo We moved down here Jan 13 and about 2 weeks before we left I found out you guys where shutting down for the couple weeks & I thought okay that will give me time to unpack then I could come down & chill at the famous Schooners. I live soooo close that I can leave my condo & walk & still be there in 5 min well I will be there on the 12th with bells on

So weird how did I miss you I must have been reading something else when you where on. I will give you a call in a little just got done with my morning walk. I am truely blessed with this beautiful weather we have been having. If you see this before I call then call me I have the new phone but not all the numbers & stuff yet Yes the blender needs broken in for sure

Tom this is what I know so far:

Schooners opens Feb 12th. Kenny Rudd is our kicking off opening week and shouldn't be missed.

Cajun Fest is the last week of Feb. and promises to be the best one yet. Gumbo Zydeco is "cookin" on stage Friday and Saturday night and all day Sunday. New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, Gumbo, Beads, Crawdiddys, Beignets, PoBoys, Beads, Beer, Hurricanes, Beads and lots of fun.

Some new beer flavors(njrindy-YES we'll have Blue moon) Mojito's, The Sunset Splash (recipe coming soon), Blood Orange Margritia

We'll get the Stools moved on Friday around noon so ya'll have something watch other than the tops(look for a new Camera view before the 12th)

Thanks for everyones patience. Chef J, Jess, and Myself will try and keep everyone posted as the 12th approaches.
