bUUUURRRRR it kold... Just leting everyone know about Mel's new myspace band page... He put a video on it from last night.. I think we had a few too meny but if you want to see it and listen to the new songs recorded for his tour this summer go to myspace.com then go to find friends. Big dave watch out for mel. He is a hell of a guitar shredder..He was just messin around on the video they were playing knocking on hevens door.. Didn't get all of the songs on the page that he wanted. Try to get them streightned out tomorrow.. also got some great video clips to post. check it out tomorrow.. Nobode ever told me when the grand opening is at Schooners is it next thursday??? We all comming down for spring in a couple of days.. Going to hang out a Mel's place. Is it gonna be Feb 20th before the bar opens??? Can anyone let me know because I sm planning on comming down on the 5th or before for the reopening...

Tom this is what I know so far:

Schooners opens Feb 12th. Kenny Rudd is our kicking off opening week and shouldn't be missed.

Cajun Fest is the last week of Feb. and promises to be the best one yet. Gumbo Zydeco is "cookin" on stage Friday and Saturday night and all day Sunday. New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, Gumbo, Beads, Crawdiddys, Beignets, PoBoys, Beads, Beer, Hurricanes, Beads and lots of fun.

Some new beer flavors(njrindy-YES we'll have Blue moon) Mojito's, The Sunset Splash (recipe coming soon), Blood Orange Margritia

We'll get the Stools moved on Friday around noon so ya'll have something watch other than the tops(look for a new Camera view before the 12th)

Thanks for everyones patience. Chef J, Jess, and Myself will try and keep everyone posted as the 12th approaches.

Gagirl..that was mighty nice of you to help ole Tom out with that bit of info. Maybe he was having a few cold ones and just overlooked that post. And speaking of cold ones...for you Blue Moon fans..if you haven't tried their seasonal "Rising Moon" Spring Ale ..I highly recommend it. And I know that Tom would like it too. It has a subtle lime after taste. It's not overpowering at all. It tastes a lot like a regular Blue Moon with a hint of lime at the finish. Try it out!

got to try one of them blue moon's sounds like a good drink. I drank a different drink the other day at the Maple street Mansion it was a Pomegranate mageritta. It was pretty good. does Schooners sell them????yep I was having a few kold one allright. Me kold ones froze last night in my kooler on me truck. Hat to thaw dem out.dey ain't no good though after dey froozze..... Thankx georgia girl. We all hope to be there at 11am.. shore hope it worms up a little.
