Every morning, or whenever you decide to post your Joke of the Day, I read, I laugh, I print

Then, I move to the kitchen and promptly post it on the front of the fridg. My honey, newly retired and not real happy yet, reads it as he pours his morning coffee, and wahlah, a laugh

I hear you are going down in May. Wished we would be there pulling out of the Summitt and you are pulling....like last year. Where you staying this year?

Yeah Deb, a few weeks ago it said that it was 129/night so I was going to stay at the dog friendly Motel6 in Destin and commute back and forth to PCB. I just happened to check out La Quinta in PC right before I booked and got the 59/night. I booked 3 nights from May 9th through 12th. If I don't get a ticket on the way down and don't end up with this russian doctor staying at my place here is St. Louis the following week, I may stay a couple more days. I'll probably leave the dog here in the fall and stay somewhere on the beach in the fall during lobster fest. Probably at the Summit. That's a long way off though so who knows what might happen by then. I just dodged a bullet by coming close to ending up with a girlfriend. That can cause scheduling problems and such, you know!

Thank you very much. I have several friends that we send jokes around and share and some are very, very good. I thought all my friends on Schooner's would like them so I started posting. I've been out of town over the weekend but I'm back now. Got a lot to catch up on.

Watch out for those bullets. You just got out of a relationship, you don't need another one so fast. Let me know how the La Quinta is there in PC. Now the Russian Doctor sounds like an interesting story!!

Samara, Russia and St. Louis are sister cities, whatever that means. I work at Washington University School of Medicine. Somebody here knows the president of the sister cities committee and forwarded a request for people who would be willing to host one of five delegates who are heads of hospitals and surgeons from Samara. They're going to be visiting with local government officials and big shots here at the university and associated hospitals. They were looking for "ordinary" American families to host them and I told them that one could stay at my place for the week. They asked to put me on backup I suppose since, I'm not a "family."
