Poor girl brought her friend to Memphis to enjoy Musicfest....and it rained....ALL DAMNED WEEKEND!!!

Sorry we didn't get to meet up. I hope you enjoyed the Peobody and Beale St!

LOL I was busy being rained on, as I work for Memphis in May. It usually rains during Musicfest, but only on one night. This time, it rained some Friday night and stopped and we thought "ok, there it was.". Not a chance. It rained all day Saturday and all day Sunday. It really really sucked.

No worries Transitt. Is is still raining up there ?????? Sheesh, even when we have a Hurricane I don't see that much rain Jill and I never braved the concerts, we figured why spend $30 to go stand in the pouring rain knee deep in mud. We did, however, see the Dempsy's (?) and some other really good bands on Beale Street. We left happy. OH, and you are right, Gus's has the best fried chicken I have ever tasted!! We had to wait an hour for a table, fools were standing outside in the rain waiting too! Reminded me of Hunt's Oyster Bar, mmmmm. As usual the Peabody was comfortable, The Rendevous was yummy, and much alcohol was comsumed. We did our best to help our flailing ecomony by spending my winnings. (Tunica Saturday a.m., woo hoo )
Sorry we didn't get to meet up, but it was nice talking to you, hope you enjoyed it all in all.

LOL I'd be happy to put a combo Gus's/Memphis BBQ place in PCB! I think it would be a big hit! Anyone have a couple million I can borrow to get that done?
