Very good Linda. That was quick.
Your turn.
Very good Linda. That was quick.
Your turn.
No shoes, no shirt, no problem!
Simon and Garfunkle are two of my favorite artists...not only were they great when they performed together but they also had very successful solo carears.
Here is a "Dark" little song...very pretty melody, though:
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Goin' nowhere, goin' nowhere
I've given you a "hint".![]()
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
Darn! I was thinking it was a Hall & Oates tune.
Wishing I was gettin' off 65 onto 331 for the final 175 miles.
Hmmmm....I think a few more "hints" are called for....
Tears For Fears was the original band that did this song. Gary Jules performed it in the Movie "Donnie Darko". Most recently it was performed by Adam Lambert on American Idol where Simon gave him a standing ovation for his interpretation. Also, anyone who plays "Gears of War" should know this song.
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
I guess I'm going to have to choose another song....no one seems to know this one. It is a little on the EMO side but has a pretty melody...wish the lyric wasn't so depressing. Here is a link if you would like to listen to: Mad World

Here's a new lyric:
When I get older, losing my hair,
Many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
The Beatles
"Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm 64"
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
I could go on and on
You are correct! Sargent Pepper is my favorite Beatles album.![]()
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
I think you guys should get this but just in case you don't listen to this particular genre of music I will give you hints.
First the lyric,
It's almost like the hard times circle round
A couple drops and they all start coming down
Yeah I might feel defeated and I might hang my head
I might be barely breathing but I'm not dead
Now the hints,
Genre is country but it was also a crossover hit. Background vocals are provided by a big name country star who is also starring in a new movie opening this weekend.
I love this song because of the music and the simplicity of the lyrics.
The message I get from it is things happen everyday that can pile up on you to where it feels overwhelming. Take it but remember that everyday is also a chance to start over.
You get to choose.
ok so I guess noone likes country music.
Here is another lyric for the rock fans.
There's no sense in pretending
Your eyes give you away
Something inside you is feeling like I do
We've said all there is to say
Will be in PCB but will have my laptop tho if you guess this you will get it right so just post a new lyric
Beer points if you do decide to guess the other tune
