That's it Linda. Written by Bob Dylan while Hendrix's version is more often heard. Your turn.

They all play on pennywhistles, you can hear them blow, if you lean your head out far enough from Desolation Row.
You are correct, Bob Dylan wrote it but I always preferred Jimi's version. Here is another "classic".
On the first part of the journey,
I was looking at all the life.
There were plants and birds. and rocks and things,
There was sand and hills and rings.
The first thing I met, was a fly with a buzz,
And the sky, with no clouds.
The heat was hot, and the ground was dry,
But the air was full of sound.
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
No one has guessed this?! Horse with no Name by America
This guy played nashville recently. Didn't get to go but I think every other person I knew did.
"I've got a feelin that we could be serious, girl
Right at this moment, I could promise you the world
Before we go crazy, before we explode
There's something 'bout me , baby, you gotta know, you gotta know..."
You'll know it.
Hey pforkum 2...saw America in concert when they played here in San Diego a few years ago. They sounded pretty good except the lead singer's voice was "shot". Still, all in all, it was a good performance. I think "A Horse With No Name" was their first big hit. Probably the reason no one had guessed the name of the song, yet, was because I had only posted it 10 minutes before you answered. Now, I know you got all excited (LOL) but remember, you are supposed to wait for confirmation you have guessed the song correctly before you post a new lyric. So.....Ding, ding, ding....you are correct, it is "A Horse With No Name". Your turn.

pforkum's is "Ive got a rock and roll heart," by Eric Clapton.

I'm assuming, Bob, that you are just posting more lyrics to "I've Got a Rock and Roll Heart" by Eric Clapton.

I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
they're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars.
Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
but those people keep a movin'
and that's what tortures me...
