Last day at the beach

Well, today is my last day to spend at the beach. I have had a blast soakin' up the abundant sunshine, walking down to the jetty and the beach to Schooners.
We are going to take a ride down Front Beach this morning and then 30A to see what's been going on since we were last here. Then we'll probably be coming back by Shuckem's so Greg can get his oysters he so loves and I'll get to finally shop at Liz and Janes for some cool new ring or bracelet. Then we'll head down and spend our last afternoon watching the waves and all the people who'll be down for the next week.

Then back to reality tomorrow but then I get to look forward to July!

Yesterday was another great day at the beach. Gorgeous ending after a little cloudy start but still spent the entire afternoon sitting in those big blue beach chairs watching the waves and the people.You can tell the ones wating to get in their rooms because they are walking in pants or shorts, carrying their shoes. I always pack a bag and keep it behind my seat that has everything I need to have for the beach. If I can't get in the condo yet, I find the pool bathroom and change, then either find the beach guy or park myself in a chair at the pool. Then when I get hungry we walk on down to Schooners for cold Coronas and a burger. The last few times we've been down tho we haven't had to wait to get in the room.
I haven't been getting sad when it's time to leave because I know I'm getting to come back sooner than a year. Alot can happen between now and then which can make your plans change. But I get to come again in July and I don't care if I have to walk down here but I will be back at Thanksgiving. Those are what keeps me from dragging my feet the morning we have to load up and head back. I used to curl up on my side of the car and cry to myself til we got past Enterprise. Then I would realize there's no turning around and would just suck it up and move on. Now i've finally grown up and realize I can really come anytime I want, just have to save up and work out the details.

We came thru Montgomery around 730a and have been on the road since 4am. It was a little crowded going thru that construction on 231 between Troy and Taylor Rd and we saw several police pull people over early this morning around Bonifay so just be real mindful of the speed down thru there. It changes between 30 in the little towns but you can go 55 when you're on those long stretches (or alittle faster). You still need to watch out for the police around Bonifay, saw several cars pulled over coming thru there.
Well everybody have a great day and those who are coming down over the next several weeks, keep us updated on everything. Hopefully the fishing and weather will be good for everyone so don't change your plans. It's always worth the trip to get away from your daily routine anyway.
