    Default Dog on the beach?

I didn't think dogs were allowed on the beach, except certain ones (like at the pier area). Are they allowed on the beach there around Schooners?

NO, they are not, can be a hefty fine. I take mine to the dog beach a pier park. I have seen the sheriff stop people, don,t know if they got a warning or a ticket
Off season when there are no patrols, people do go on the beach but I would rather save my $$ cuz you know dogs never pay back.
WHY DON'T GAS STATIONS HAVE A "HAPPY HOUR"????

    Cool dogs!

Well, that's what I thought, thanks for the confirmation. Because just before I posted that thread question, I was watching a guy with a big black dog from the Sunset cam! Agreed, one thing that would totally ruin my beach experience is to walking along the beach with my grandchild and have him step in dog poo! Maybe that dog owner will read this thread! lol

Welcome, Sunny I take my dog to the dog beach at pier park. I guess there will always be idiots who have no consideration of other people. I'm guessing the dog wasn't on a leash either I'll bet.

Exactly Bob, no leash. Looked like a good sized black lab. A beautiful dog and you know, it's not the dogs' fault. I love dogs! It's the owners that lack common sense sometime. I think it's great to have specified areas for dogs. But you know if there is an area restricting them, their owners need to get a clue. Thanks for the welcome y'all!

Welcome Sunnycharacter. I think the Show Me State members are taking over this site from the Hoosier crowd.

Yeah gabchbum, but it's decent. I haven't seen any unattended pooches or poops there. There is a lifeguard, as well. The area is large enough to enjoy and small enough that they can see if people who think they are special aren't being responsible.

Where are you from Sunny I would think from SW MO you would be fairly close to the Texas or Louisiana coast. I use the term "fairly close" loosely, of course.
