It's very strange to be turning 60. I feel 40 to 45 tops. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess.
We're calling our trip the "Beat our feet on the Mississippi mud" tour. 2 nights in Memphis, 1 week in NOLA, on the way back we're doing some of the Natchez Trace, staying 1 night in Clarksdale, MS and 1 night in St. Louis, then home. Hubby's mom was born in Clarksdale. Who knows, maybe Morgan Freeman will be hanging out at his cafe or bar down there.
If it doesn't involve the beach, it isn't a real vacation.

Me, too, Mrs. Peel except I feel more like 35. The big 60 in Dec. for me. On the inside I'm still wearing long, indian print dresses and listening to Joni Mitchell.
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?
As I get older I find that I have more free time & more disposable income. Most of the extra money goes toward my dream of retiring in Panama City Beach.

I don't feel 40. I also feel better than I did in my 20's. I'm a bit confused by that. I'm thinking this will get even better since I quit drinking. I haven't a beer since Sunday night

I think the older I get, the happier I am...I don't sweat the "small stuff" like I did when I was a young "whippersnapper" like Dave. At 40 I was raising 3 teenagers and a brand new baby while finishing my degree...whew!
