I would have thought that back during the big building boom a few years back. But I can't see that happening anytime soon. There are way too many empty units down there from all that construction. There are also several empty lots that had pre-sales going on that haven't even broken ground. I think it will be several years before you see a lot of cranes and construction workers in that neck of the woods. As long as the island is in state hands, I bet it's relatively safe.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head! I was told there is no power on the island and there arent any plans to. The guy who runs the beach service said there are a few privately own lots on the island but the state will not let them develop them. So I guess if you own one, all you own is a lot of sand. They need to take care of the abandoned structures on the beach before they build any new ones!

We had a great time hanging with you too!!! We have never met someone for a first time and have such a great time. Can't wait to meet again next time we are in PCB! You are for REAL! Nothing fake about the Big D! He owns the Hill.......Watch out Tom Kat!! LOL!! We just got back from Schooners and had a great Grouper sandwich! Michele had the Scuban and of course Salsa and chips! We were on the sunset cam for a few while Michele called our son to look for us.

I stole the whole thing from a beer add. There..I confessed ( hangs head in shame ) Noel, you are a rather tall sassy one. I can relate though..I seldom ever run across anyone that's close to eye level. Then I meet with forum pal Lite12 and the dude is eye level or slightly higher. If he had been short..he was in for it. Because with his last name, he would catch total hell if being a short man. Tall people are koowell. They're usually always happy and fun to be around. Stay thirsty my friends.

I am so happy i was able to make the journey this year to Lobster Fest!!!!! Patricia i thank you from the bottom of my heart for offering me a place to stay you made my weekend great,was able to meet several forum buddies was sad to come back to the real world last Sunday and back to work,now looking forward to my visit in November for car show,i will for sure be at Lobster Fest next year for longer than a couple of days!!!!!!
