Eddie and Alex still have what it takes. I wasn't able to go this year because of the lack of funds..............................and yes, I still have the jersey concert shirts I bought at the concerts. LOL!! I also listen to a lot of Metallica. I do prefer their older stuff though. I went to their concert back in 2004 at Gwinnett Place Arena. We sat next a couple kids who were about 13 years old. When they started playing Master of Puppets, the 2 kids looked at each other and said "I've never heard that song before". I started laughing and got to thinking.....damn I feel old!!!
I haven't missed a Van Halen show since 1986. I was 14 the first time I saw them on the 5150 tour. I saw the last two tours with DLR. I took my son to the last one April. His mind was blown. I like all of Metallica's stuff except the crap they did after the Black album. Their last record was pretty darn good, in my humble opinion. I got away from the Kiss stuff as I got older. I listen to a lot of stuff...From hard rock and metal...to southern rock, blues and country. I don't do rap or classical or jazz.

I was working the evening shift in surgery when when I heard about it. I wasn't a fan, but I was shocked to hear about it. My brother, who's 7 years older than me, had a bunch of his 45's when I was little.
Bands like Kiss & Metallica were not even on my radar. I never knew what Kiss "sang" until Gene Simmons' show started on A&E.
OK, the line for bashing me starts here!.......

No bashing, Mrs. P. If you wasn't a kid in the 70's or 80's you get a pass on this. Also... being a woman.. you also get a pass.. no bashing. Now.. if you were a guy growing up in that era..the ridicule would ensue
