Anyone ever stayed in the Santa Rosa Beach area? I haven't been able to find much to do there.

It's more residential. If you stay there and want the touristy things to do, you'll have to drive to Destin or PCB.

Doing fine here. There was a nader in N. St. Louis county, and a radar echo for a possible one in S. St. Louis. We were ready to put our tennis shoes on and take the dogs into the basement, but the nader warnings were just north and south of us.

Never stayed there, but we drove through 30A a couple times and are planning to stay in that area next May. Rather than scooters and such there are bicycle rental places and a several mile long bike/foot trail that runs along 30A crossing several lakes with beautiful houses and sand dunes. The scenery in that area is awesome. Rather than strip mall type stores there are more specialized boutique type stores. There is Topsail Hill Preserve State Park that looks like it may be real nice. There are a couple of places that kind of look like a town square ringed by shops and eateries. Of course, like Big Dave said, you can always run over to PCB.

Hey Bob! Glad to hear you all are okay...I was worried about you when I heard about the tornadoes close to St. Louis. Keep safe and don't forget to not only grab your dogs but your lemon tree, too!
The sun will always rise and who knows what the tide might bring?

I just returned from Brigantine, NJ. We never made it to the beach. I was told by locals that if I am a lover of PCB, going to the beach there would have been a disappointment. I saw it from one of the windows of a casino and I'm glad we didn't make it to the beach. I'm hoping to make at least another weekend trip down to old Panty Maw this summer, but it's not looking too promising
Stay ugly and bitter, my friends.
